In May 2019, City to Suburb Interiors (formerly called JMW Interiors) was approached to participate in Grace’s House: the first ever designer showhouse for The Valerie Fund—a NJ based philanthropic organization that supports pediatric cancer patients and their families during treatment.  We created a fun, feminine, sophisticated space called the “Geo Gem”: a modern “jewel box” filled with geometric patterns and shapes, rich jewel tones, and mixed metallics that reflected the spirit of Grace, a 10-year old cancer survivor and inspiration for the house. We focused on bringing light, warmth, and richness to the space with modernized parquet floors; clean, sculptural shapes; and artwork and textured wallcoverings. The showhouse raised over $200,000 to support The Valerie Fund’s Green Light Initiative, which is raising money to bring “next generation care” to thousands of children.
