Spec House to Showhouse
Julia and her husband purchased this home for their family at the end of 2020 in the midst of construction by a spec builder, taking advantage of limited opportunities to customize it. She selected classic finishes with a touch of color and fun that will stand the test of time. She created drama with bold, modern light fixtures. Once the home was theirs, she selected key upgrades to make it feel more custom, like swapping out builder-grade vanities for furniture-style ones and adding unique touches like a hand-painted mural in the double-height Foyer. Furnishing the rooms was a dream come true, sourcing from all her favorite manufacturers. She selected colorful furnishings and rugs that are comfortable and family-friendly. She continues to update the home over time, and the Kitchen is next on her list.
