Julia Pobiner, a multi-talented interior designer, is known for the extraordinary service she provides busy families in New Jersey and New York City.
With over 10 years of experience, Julia provides a full range of residential design services to prominent homeowners in such communities as Livingston, Short Hills, Millburn, Maplewood, and New York City. She has also completed projects on the New Jersey Shore, in Pennsylvania, the Boston suburbs, and Cape Cod. She has designed multiple residences for the same clients, and much of her work comes from referrals.
Julia assists homeowners from concept to creation, saving her clients time and making the process enjoyable. She is passionate about sourcing unique, customized finishes, furniture, and artwork for each project while helping her clients make the best use of their space and repurpose their existing furnishings.
Clients and professional colleagues applaud her “patient, attentive and accessible service,” “meticulous style,” “keen design eye,” and “sensible and practical solutions.”
Julia, who offers services ranging from remodeling to furniture selection, is one of the region’s few designers with an extensive background in construction management. Her clients today benefit from the project coordination, space planning, architectural and other experience she gained during her highly successful earlier career working with one of the region’s leading general contracting firms.
Julia’s projects range from single rooms to full buildings and have included a 9,000 square foot residence, multi-million dollar apartments, and a luxury condo development. Recently she was selected to work on a showhouse in Plainfield, NJ to help raise funds for children with cancer.
JMW Interiors is backed by a team of some of the area’s foremost painters, millworkers, window treatment specialists, and other professionals, along with a national network of vendors and suppliers.
Julia’s unique educational background laid the foundation for her success. She earned a mathematics degree at the University of Pennsylvania and an interior design degree at the Fashion Institute of Technology, thereby gaining an invaluable combination of analytical and creative skills.
